Aug. 17, 2010 (Business Wire) -- Based on a new report published on Forbes.com, Microtune®, Inc. (NASDAQ: TUNE) announced that it ranks, for the fifth consecutive year, among the nation’s ‘most trustworthy companies.’
The ‘Most Trustworthy Companies’ list was compiled by Los Angeles-based independent financial analytics firm, Audit Integrity. The firm reviews companies traded on the U.S. exchanges and examines more than 100 factors to help it assess each company’s corporate accounting and management practices. By assigning an accounting and governance risk score, it identifies companies that have consistently shown conservative accounting practices and prudent management and are at least risk for financial restatements and sudden equity losses.
To make the Audit Integrity list, a company must have an ‘Accounting and Governance’ risk rating of at least 65 or more for at least eight quarters and lack certain negative corporate events. Microtune scored a 98 out of a possible score of 100. Fewer than 5% of public companies make Audit Integrity's ‘Most Trustworthy Companies’ list.
