VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 26, 2007) - True North Gems (TSX VENTURE:TGX) is pleased to announce that Ramboll Denmark, one of Europe's leading environmental consulting firms, has completed the field components of an Environmental Baseline Study on the Company's 110 km2 Fiskenaesset Ruby Project, located on the southwest coast of Greenland.

The baseline study was an integral part of the 2007 exploration program which included bulk sampling and detailed drilling of the Aappaluttoq occurrence (press releases September 13 and 18, 2007). This study will provide the requisite baseline data necessary to advance directly to supplementary studies comprising an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). The EIA is a mandatory requirement for acquisition of an Exploitation License.

The environmental program involved a multi-faceted approach which included regional background water sampling, and coastal marine and terrestrial biological surveys. Detailed basin hydrometry, water quality profiling, water chemistry and biological sampling were undertaken in the lake adjacent to the Aappaluttoq occurrence, the principal area of exploration. The water and biological samples have been shipped for analysis in Denmark.

Ramboll Denmark is a global service provider which offers specialized expertise in all aspects of environmental impact assessments (EIA), nature restoration and protection, and environmental management to the benefit of sustainable projects, according to ISO 14001 and EMASII.

The planning and execution of the ruby exploration and quality control programs at the Fiskenaesset Ruby Project are under the supervision of Greg Davison, True North Gems' VP Exploration. Mr. Davison is a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.
