VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - June 20, 2007) - True North Gems (TSX VENTURE:TGX) is pleased to announce that the Greenland Bureau of Mines and Petroleum (BMP) has registered on June 1, 2007, True North Gems' application for acquisition of an additional 713 km2 exploration license contiguous with and adjacent to the Company's 110 km2 Fiskenaesset ruby property, located on the southwest coast of Greenland.

The license application consists of five separate property blocks (designated sub-areas) strategically located to cover known ruby occurrences and prospective geology for ruby mineralization in the Fiskenaesset District. The formal ratification of the license application by the BMP and the requisite Greenland/Denmark government authorities, will bring True North's total land position to 823 km2.

The company has recently announced the initiation of the 2007 exploration program on the Fiskenaesset ruby property (see press release dated June 18, 2007) with the overall objective to deliver a Preliminary Assessment on the Aappaluttoq Ruby Project, the most promising occurrence identified to date from the Company's Greenland property. The current program will include regional exploration mapping and prospecting on the areas under application, in addition to 5,000 metres of diamond drilling and the extraction of approximately 100 tonnes of bulk assay samples of ruby and pink sapphire mineralization on the current exploration license.

The planning and execution of the exploration, mineral processing and quality control programs at the 2007 Greenland ruby project are under the supervision of Greg Davison, True North Gems' VP Exploration. Mr. Davison is a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.
