Standard Register Relocates Printing Facility from Cincinnati to Dayton - Adds 10 Jobs to Dayton Workforce
DAYTON, Ohio, Jan. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Standard Register
(NYSE: SR) recently added 10 jobs to its workforce of over 500 in the city of
Dayton, with the move of a digital printing facility from Cincinnati.
The Print On Demand (POD) Services Center in Dayton will be the prototype
for the company's other 25 similar facilities nationwide, with better
proximity to engineering staff. The center will serve as a test site for
digital printing presses, bindery equipment and workflow software.
'Our POD Services locations are becoming faster, more digital and more
focused on color,' said Joe Klenke, vice president and general manager, POD
Services. 'The new Dayton facility is a great example of the new look that we
are employing to bring this message home to our customers. Our centers are
bright, organized and efficient-they look more like computer rooms than
warehouses or plants.'
In addition to the 26 digital print facilities, the company also operates
five rotary printing plants, two label printing facilities and 22 warehouses.
In addition, Standard Register opened a document services facility in Mexico
in 2006 that provides industrial labels and on-demand digital printing.
