JERSEY CITY, NJ -- (Marketwire) -- 12/11/09 -- The Singapore Fund, Inc. (NYSE: SGF), a closed-end management investment company seeking long-term capital appreciation through investment primarily in Singapore equity securities, today announced an ordinary income dividend of U.S. $0.26 per share.
Shareholders who participate in the Fund's Dividend Reinvestment and Cash Purchase Plan will receive an equivalent dividend amount in shares of the Fund.
The dividend will be payable on December 30, 2009 to the shareholders of record at the close of business on December 22, 2009. The ex-dividend date will be December 18, 2009.
