NORTH PLAINS, Ore., Oct. 16 /CNW/ -- Jewett-Cameron Trading Company Ltd. (Nasdaq: JCTCF; TSX: JCT) today announced a significant expansion in the market for its proprietary gate support system, which is sold under the trade name Adjust-A-Gate.
The Adjust-A-Gate system is designed for gate applications of 36 to 96 inch openings. The system is designed to keep gates in proper alignment. It can be used in new construction or to repair older sagging gates. The product is manufactured of square steel tubing, which is powder coated for years of maintenance free service.
CEO Don Boone commented on growing market for this product, " Since Jewett-Cameron acquired the patents and manufacturing rights to this gate support system in late 2006 the market has been expanding to where we are currently selling it to 724 retail locations. We are now projecting based on commitments from customers that the first level of national distribution will be achieved in 2008, and that this will entail selling the product in approximately 1,740 retail locations."
