NORTH PLAINS, ORE., February 27 /CNW/ - Jewett-Cameron Trading Company Ltd. (Nasdaq:JCTCF) (TSX:JCT) today announced that it has entered into an agreement whereby Fred Meyer, Inc. will offer to its customers Jewett-Cameron's American Kennel Club (AKC) Best of Show Pet Containment Product. This welded wire kennel will be sold in all 117 Fred Meyer locations in Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Idaho and Utah. This product will be in the stores starting in March.
Don Boone, CEO of Jewett-Cameron commented, "This is one more example of the growing acceptance of our non-wood specialty products that we sell through big box retailers and other customers in the United States. We expect to be making more such announcements in the coming months."
Jewett-Cameron is a distributor and wholesaler of building materials and specialty products for home centers and other retailers. Other activities at Jewett-Cameron include the processing and distribution of agricultural seeds for growers and the distribution of pneumatic air tools and industrial clamps to OEM customers.
Jewett-Cameron continues to diversify its product offerings from being a wood products supplier to also being a manufacturer and distributor of specialty products that are sold to retailers. These specialty products include dog kennels, outdoor shelters, greenhouses, fences and gate systems.
