Grayling Wins Over "Hearts and Minds" of Fire Fighting Community with ClearCalm(TM) Product
Wireless Communication System for Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus
(SCBA) Garners Praise and Industry Support at Trade Show
TORONTO, April 26 /CNW/ - Grayling Wireless USA Inc. (NASDAQ: GRYW) today
announced that its participation at FDIC (Fire Department Instructors
Conference), in Indianapolis, Indiana two weeks ago has been a resounding
success. The company showcased its ClearCalm(TM) communication system to more
than 24,000 delegates at the largest fire fighting trade show in North
America.
ClearCalm(TM) allows personnel who are required to operate in extremely
hazardous environments such as firefighters, hazardous material teams, and
industry emergency response teams to communicate more clearly and effectively.
Personnel who use a SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) and SABA
(Supplied Air Breathing Apparatus) require effective two-way wireless
communication to do their job.
A patent - pending wireless, hands-free, voice-activated communication
system, ClearCalm(TM) was clearly the showstopper. Grayling's booth was a
scene of constant activity with many delegates being introduced to
Clearcalm(TM) for the first time.
"ClearCalm is the first communication system that gives firefighters
clear communication with each other and command at a fire scene," says Grant
Moar, President of Grayling Wireless USA Inc. "By filtering out background
noise, ClearCalm(TM) provides a two-way life line with the potential to save
lives."
Today in North America, it is estimated that there are more than two
million SCBA in service with approximately 100,000 new units being added each
year. Grayling will be shipping ClearCalm(TM) systems commercially in the
summer. The company is also exploring potential applications for this
technology with government, police, and military organizations.
