NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 07/09/10 -- The Greater China Fund, Inc. (the "Fund") (NYSE: GCH) announced that Agnes Deng has been appointed portfolio manager of the Fund, replacing Henry Chan. Ms. Deng has been involved in the management of the Fund's portfolio since joining Baring Asset Management (Asia) Limited, the Fund's investment manager, in 2007.
