Dec. 15, 2009 (Business Wire) -- ACT Clean Technologies, Inc. (Pink Sheets: ACLH), formerly known as Advanced Clean Technologies, Inc., reported that a private oil production company with four producing wells in Kern County, California will use ACT’s American Petroleum Solutions, Inc. subsidiary’s patented enhanced oil production technology to improve the heavy oil of its current producing wells. The well tests will measure the improved effectiveness of the proprietary ACT technology on the production sandstone reservoirs present in the Kern County field.
Russell Kidder, CEO of ACT Clean Technologies, Inc., commented, “Kern County output is about 66% of all the oil produced in California and nearly 10% of the total production in the entire United States. If our processes can significantly improve production and reduce costs in this field, we may be able to make a substantial contribution to the ability of the USA to reduce its dependence on foreign oil production. The APS technology for the oil reclamation and clean-up process has previously been used to successfully complete projects for some of the largest oil and gas companies in the United States, including ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, Avon Petroleum and Valero Petroleum, as well as the US Navy Petroleum Reserve, and we are optimistic that these tests will show that we can achieve significant improvement in oil production in the Kern County field.”
