CHS Inc. will hold its annual meeting Dec. 3 and 4 at the Minneapolis (Minn.) Convention Center. The meeting carries the theme "Perspective" and will include board and management reports on 2009 fiscal results and operational highlights. A member question/answer session, board elections and other business will also take place during the meeting.

Thursday, Dec. 3: Early arrival workshops at 8:45 a.m. and 10 a.m.
include Country Hedging, Inc.'s market outlook for grain, oilseeds
and energy for 2010; Jackie Nink Pflug's "Perspectives on Survival";
and an update on legislation addressing greenhouse gas/climate
change issues and possible repercussions for CHS and its producer
owners. Mini-sessions each half-hour between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.
cover a range of topics, including marketing opportunities and
challenges in China in "The Great Wall of soybeans"; lowering bulk
fuel delivery costs while increasing sales and margins; managing the
myriad of risks when businesses merge, form joint ventures, complete
acquisitions or form marketing agreements; understanding risk
management strategies, alternative capital sourcing and marketing
tools for beef producers; exploring propane-powered technologies
used on the farm; and reviewing what has transpired in the crop
nutrients market in recent months and how grain prices could
influence crop nutrients prices.
The business meeting starts at 12:30 p.m. with reports from the
board of directors, operations leaders and CHS President and Chief
Executive Officer John Johnson. It closes with the Member
Interaction Session.
Friday, Dec. 4: The business meeting begins at 10 a.m., and closes
with keynote speaker John Kasich, at approximately 10:45 a.m. Former
congressman, television personality and author, Kasich will offer
valuable insight into the power of the individual to raise standards
and leave a better America for the next generation in "American
Values. Doing Well by Doing Good"
