NYC billboard highlighting wanted crooks

FBI Special Agent Richard Kalko said the digital billboard at 47th Street and Broadway features a number of most-wanted New York fugitives along with information for members of the public to use to contact the FBI, the New York Daily News reported.

"We're going to make some bad guys famous in Times Square," Kalko said. "Hopefully, we'll get some of them in handcuffs, too."

The advertising corporation, Clear Channel Outdoor (NYSE:CCO) , is providing the billboard to the FBI free of charge.

The New York billboard is the most recent addition to an ongoing law enforcement project that currently involves more than 1,000 billboards in 20 cities, the Daily News said.

"When you consider the number of eyeballs that are going to see the billboard, we couldn't ask for a better audience," Kalko said of the billboard, which will also display information on security messages, missing children and international suspects.
